There are delay pedals, and then there's the Pigtronix Echolution. The Pigtronix Echolution elevates the delay effect to a whole new art form, giving you a unique set of options and controls that let you craft truly original echo and modulation effects. Six discrete virtual tape heads (set either at quarter note or triplet intervals) form the heart of the Echolution - it's like having six delay pedals in a row! Each of the Echolution's delays has its own toggle switch, so you can set up cool rhythmical delay patterns. Then things get crazy.
Flip the PHI switch, and each of the virtual tape heads aligns to the golden ratio (1.618), creating a geometrically complex, and incredibly musical delay pattern. Engage the tails toggle, and your delay tails will fade naturally when you bypass the Echolution. A master tap tempo control lets you lock the Echolution onto the beat and change settings on the fly. You can set the tempo with just a couple of stomps on the tap tempo control, or hook up an expression pedal and take even finer control over the tempo.
Tap tempo isn't the only global control in the Pigtronix Echolution, there's also a comprehensive modulation section, complete with selectable delay time and an adjustable LFO. From stereo chorus and slapback to classic tape echo effects, the Echolution's modulation section lets you add incredible dimension to your tone.
And then there's the Echolution's Reverse and Loop modes, both of which you can control with an single TRS-equipped external remote. When you kick in the loop mode, the Echolution freezes the current delay line, letting you create intense transitions. Reverse mode, on the other hand, is perfect for psychedelic Hendrix-style effects.
And as if it wasn't impressive enough already, the Echolution gives you non-linear analog saturation you can dial in to taste. Bottom line: the Pigtronix Echolution won't just replace half of your pedalboard, it'll make you happy about replacing them.
